Boys Will Be Boys

We went to a big Italian Wedding in RI a couple of weekends ago. We had a good time. The highlight was the dance off to "Ice Ice Baby" and these two cuties. That's my nephew Bobby, he's not a baby anymore. The little boy next to him is my cousin's son Jared. Aren't they adorable all dressed up in their tuxedos? They both are so much fun. Tons of energy and very pleasant to be around. Everything is hilarious to them.

In other "boys" news, my dear friend Alex was visiting from Chicago. It's been a long time since we'd seen each other. What an adventurous NYC night we had. Dinner, laughing and infused vodka martini's. I had plum while Alex chose the much more daring horseradish one. It was so good to see him & I'm glad I had him all to myself. He loves Chicago & is doing so well out there. He's a writer and very close to getting his first piece published. And he's suppose to be working on Oprah tickets for us. I think he needs a reminder of that.

And finally, Tom had an exciting adventure of his own. He had been planning a get together for a couple of months with some of his old high school buddies. The occasion? The Van Halen reunion tour. Tom met up with them in Richmond, VA where they rented a van & headed to Greensboro, NC. I can't even express how excited he was about this trip. It's like they were back in the 80's all over again. He bought a couple of alligator shirts to wear and everything. The morning that he was heading south and woke me to say goodbye and show me this sign (see below). He made it and had it copied at Kinko's to plaster all over the van or as he referred to it "the Van Halen Mobile". I was a little worried that he'd return sporting some parachute pants and a mullet. True 80's style.
